Sandvik’s Mastercam software acquired MCAM Northwest, ShopWare, and the CAD/CAM solutions business line from OptiPro Systems.

For more than 30 years, MCAM Northwest, a Mastercam channel partner, has been serving customers in Oregon, Southern Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii. ShopWare has been a partner in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, and Wisconsin, while the CAD/CAM solutions business line from OptiPro Systems, along with its holding company Brightside 09 Inc., has served manufacturers in New York. https://www.mastercam.com

The Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) – The Composites Institute named Andrew Pokelwaldt its new director of education and workforce, overseeing strategic planning and the execution of key initiatives and programs to revitalize America’s manufacturing workforce. Pokelwaldt brings extensive experience in workforce development and training, including Composites Instruction Credentials (CCT-I).

Ontic, a licensor and manufacturer of complex engineered parts for the global aerospace and defense industries, appointed Gareth Parkin as global chief financial officer (CFO). An experienced CFO, Parkin joins Ontic from Messer America, a provider of industrial and medical gases. Kemezis, Young, and Shorette

Bryan Young has joined INDEX as national sales manager, while John Kemezis and Jason Shorette have joined as regional sales representatives. With 36 years of experience in manufacturing, Young will lead the INDEX sales team for the United States and Canada.

Throughout a 29-year manufacturing career, Kemezis has held various sales positions and established a strong reputation for helping companies achieve their growth targets.

Star SU, the marketing, sales, and service affiliate of Star Cutter Co., appointed Richard (Rick) Rickert as its round tool product manager. With more than 35 years in the industry, he has worked in various roles from his roots in machining to engineering and sales management.
