NHP horizontal machining centers
The 400mm pallet NHP series horizontal machining center offers rapid metal removal and comes standard with a 15,000rpm, 40hp spindle with 169 lb-ft of torque. A high-torque 15,000rpm spindle with 223 lb-ft is available, and a 20,000rpm spindle is in development.
Up to 1g acceleration/deceleration on the X-, Y-, and Z-axis enhances productivity as much as 25%. Ball screw shaft and bearing cooling systems keep the temperature stable for precision machining.
A random-access, disc-type tool magazine allows 0.9 second tool-to-tool and 2.3 second chip-to-chip times. In addition to minimizing non-cutting time, this design reduces vibration for more stable operation.
The NHP’s footprint has been reduced 15% compared to the previous model, yet the machining area has been expanded by 24%. A three-point leveling design aids machine installation and maintenance, and center-through bed chip management evacuates large volumes of chips.
Through-pallet and overhead hydraulic fixturing options are available. Additionally, the automatic pallet changer has a 27% faster indexing time.

Deburring tool for elliptical or contoured surfaces
COFA-C series tooling for deburring elliptical or contoured surfaces in larger diameters uses replaceable solid carbide coated blades for holes from 6mm to 26mm.Coatings provide longer tool life and optimum performance based on materials being machined. Blade and spring options create an effective deburring tool, depending upon hole geometry and material being machined.
Designed for ID and OD elliptical deburring on even and uneven bore edges in a single operation, the series supports applications such as forks, yokes, common rails, castings, tubes with cross bores, and other workpieces with cross bores in main bores.
The larger-sized C-series consists of an independent blade that is fit into a rigidly guided blade holder. Different blade sizes are available for the same tool body, allowing different cutting diameters based on application.
Controlled by a spring, the carbide cutting blade follows the contour of the hole’s surface, removing burrs while creating an even tapered corner break. The blade does not cut as it passes through the bore and will not damage the hole’s surface. The edge break begins only at the point where the blade contacts the material and then tapers the hole’s edge for faster feed rates.
There are no adjusting screws or presetting requirements. Blades are available for cutting front and back or back cutting only.

Low viscosity, chemical-resistant epoxy
EP62-1BF is a two-part epoxy able to withstand exposure to aggressive chemicals including acids, bases, and solvents, even at high temperatures. The low exotherm system has a mixed viscosity of 2,000cps to 5,000cps, making it suitable for potting small components. It offers a working life of 12 to 24 hours for 100g at room temperature. Curing is done at moderately elevated temperatures. EP62-1BF is thermally stable and has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 125°C to 135°C. Part A is clear and Part B is dark brown in color. EP62-1BF is available is various sizes and units, packaged in cans, pails, and premixed and frozen syringes.
