Partners in THINC presents a ready-to-order, complete manufacturing cell demonstrating high-speed machining accuracy and tight tolerances suitable for aerospace to automotive and medical parts. Featured products on the Okuma MB56VA cell include THINCOSP control, a ChipBlaster, Zoller presetter, Toolboss, Extrude Hone, Caron Engineering's TMAC-7 software, Renishaw Gauging and Tool Breakage Detection, Anybus robot interface, ConSep 2000 system, and Midaco 40SD automatic dual-pallet changer.
The Okuma MB-56VA vertical machining center features bridgetype column and saddle construction based on FEM analysis and a rapid spindle traverse with Hi-G acceleration to create a solid, nimble machine. A ram-type spindle saddle with double column configuration adds rigidity, while its small, moveable body facilitates 0.7g acceleration and deceleration rates with 1,574ipm X- and Y-axis feeds and a 1,259ipm Z-axis feed. The MB-56VA Series also incorporates a lower table position for easy, ergonomic front-access to the machine and zero overhangs, requiring minimal floor space while yielding maximum effective work area.
