Three-fluted drill

Offering more bores and a longer tool life compared with its twin-fluted companion, the three-fluted Tritan-Drill makes it possible to machine with a higher feed rate with rounder bores and reduced burr formation. Innovative geometry enables a low cutting pressure and optimum chip removal, especially for long-chipping workpiece materials.

Drills for machining steels, cast materials, and non-ferrous metals are available from stock in diameters of 5mm to 20mm in designs up to 8xD.

Blade inserts

CoroCut QD inserts are available in sizes 0.04", 0.05", and 0.06" with internal coolant. The thinner insert blade wastes less material and allows for more parts per bar when parting off using a bar feeder. The insert cam key allows the user to leave the finger of the blade in the open position allowing for use of both hands for insert positioning. Improved toolholders’ tool steel offers 12% higher tensile strength.

CNC simulator

The CNC simulator brings the CNC to the classroom and provides students with exposure to the CNC controls without the need for a full mill or lathe. The simulator is based on the Series Oi – Model F platform and can be operated in either milling or turning configurations. Students can program the simulator as a 3-axis mill or a 2-axis/1-spindle turning system. The simulator is portable, requiring only a standard wall outlet. Students can transfer the programs to the machines using the built-in Ethernet connections or standard Flash ATA or USB interface. The simulator is loaded with the Manual Guide i conversational programming interface, which allows the graphic generation of programs that are simulated in 3D prior to being converted back to conventional NC programs and used on machine tools.
