Renishaw introduces its end-to-end hardware and software solutions for streamlined probe programming, part setup and in-process inspection. Hardware includes the company's new ultra-compact OMP400 machine tool probe, just 40mm diameter and 50mm in length, which brings big benefits to small machining centers and tight access situations. Upstream from the machine tool, the new version of Renishaw's Productivity+ Active Editor Pro software allows probing routines to be programmed and simulated on CAD/CAM systems during toolpath generation.
The integrated solutions provide a single path to automated closedloop machining for higher process efficiency.
Especially designed for small machining centers and inspection of hard-to-reach part features, the OMP400 optical probe combines miniaturization of the highly successful OMP40 probe with the latest advances in strain gage technology. It is ideal for machines with short Z-axis travel and spindles as small as HSK32. Offering a combination of size, accuracy, reliability and robustness, the OMP400 can bring the benefits of probing to many high accuracy applications.
