Alfa Laval has extended its AlfaPure range of separator systems for industrial fluids with the new AlfaPure 7000 separator module. Offering high capacity in relation to its size, AlfaPure 7000 is capable of handling tanks with volumes of up to 250m3.
In terms of life-cycle costs, centrifugal separation has proved to be a more efficient method of cleaning service fluids than filtration, in most cases. It also helps reduce the impact of plant operation on the environment by substantially reducing the volumes of waste to be disposed of.
The AlfaPure-series is available in two versions. AlfaPure for wash liquids and coolants removes contaminating oil, grease and solid particles. This prolongs the life of service fluids, reducing disposal costs and improving both product quality and the working environment. AlfaPure for oils removes fine solids and water, reducing tool wear and helping to prevent corrosion and equipment failure.
AlfaPure 7000 is a complete module that is easy to install and operate. Requiring less than 2m2 of floor space, AlfaPure 7000 can handle tanks with a volume of up to 250m3. AlfaPure 7000 will normally be installed in a bypass system where it will operate continuously.
Innovative design features provide a high level of separation efficiency. This, in turn, prolongs the life of service fluids, minimizes sludge volumes, and reduces disposal costs. High separation efficiency also allows longer service intervals. The separator only requires servicing every three to six months. A new, frequency controlled motor ensures the lowest possible power consumption. The overall result is lower operating costs.
