Speaking at the 30th anniversary open house, HTC President Gary Brown, who has been leading HTC for 29 years, thanked Heule Werkzeug CEO Ulf Heule, who was present at the event. He also recognized Ulf’s father, Heinrich, who invented the first automated deburring tool in 1961 and launched the company.

GF Machining Solutions opens Aerospace Center of Competence
GF Machining Solutions’ Aerospace and Energy Center of Competence near Charlotte in Huntersville, North Carolina, is dedicated to supporting turbine component manufacturers.
GF Machining Solutions Americas President Scott Fosdick says the 21,000ft2 facility, “expands our capabilities to deliver today’s most advanced machining solutions to North American aerospace and energy manufacturers.”
The facility features a showroom for demonstrating AgieCharmilles wire and sinker EDM, Mikron 3- and 5-axis milling, and Liechti airfoil milling machines, along with training rooms and office space.

Upskill a finalist in Hannover Messe’s Hermes Awards
Deutsche Messe named augmented reality (AR) device and software producer Upskill one of five finalists for the Hermes Award during the opening ceremony of Hannover Messe, the world’s largest industrial trade show that attracts more than 5,000 exhibitors and 200,000 attendees. The only U.S.-based company shortlisted, Upskill was recognized for outstanding innovation in developing the newest version of its Skylight AR platform.
In its 15th year, the Hermes Award industrial technology prize recognizes solutions showcased at Hannover Messe for the first time.
Brian Ballard, Upskill’s CEO and co-founder, said, “It is a true honor to be a finalist among other innovative, global technology companies at Hannover Messe.”
