Launched on the eve of the pandemic, FL Technics Engine Services received ISO EN 9110:2018 certification to maintain CFM family engines, including repair, replacement, installation, rectification, and preservation services.
Provided at the FL Technics base maintenance and hub painting location, capabilities range from minor repairs to through-out inspections and overhaul work packs.
A new partnership agreement between FL Technics, an Avia Solutions Group member, and SETAERO, a repair services provider for aircraft parts and composites, covers advanced maintenance and repair services to repair, supply, and maintain airframes, flight surfaces, and nacelles. The companies will deliver specialized off-the-shelf solutions and products for airlines and operators.
Ontic acquires Fairchild Merlin, Metro type certificates
Aerospace product manufacturing and aftermarket support provider Ontic has reached an agreement with M7 Aerospace LLC to transfer type certificates for the Fairchild Merlin, Metro II/III/IV, and C-26 Metroliner aircraft currently supported at M7’s facility in San Antonio, Texas.
Ontic will maintain the complete lifecycle support for the family of aircraft including engineering, technical, repairs, and spare parts. The products will be transitioned to Ontic’s Creedmoor, North Carolina facility, and the company will also be welcoming new employees from the San Antonio facility.
This is the first agreement between Ontic and M7 Aerospace, a division of Elbit Systems of America LLC. This acquisition adds to Ontic’s existing type certificate with the Twin Commander, acquired in 2018.
Ontic supports customers and licensing partners from manufacturing and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facilities in Chatsworth, California; Creedmoor, North Carolina; Plainview, New York; Cheltenham, Bolton, and Staverton in the United Kingdom, and Singapore.
Evans Composites names Nick McDonald general manager
Dallas, Texas-based Evans Composites (ECI), a commercial, military, and corporate aviation structural and composite Part 145 repair station, appointed Nick McDonald as general manager (GM). McDonald’s responsibilities will include the oversight of ECI’s strategic operational goals, repair quality, performance output, financial growth, and industry reputation.
Since joining the company in 2015, McDonald has gained experience with the company’s sales, client relations, component repair logistics, full-cycle project management, and departmental relations. Prior to ECI, he acquired more than 27 years of experience in customer relations, sales, and leadership management roles.
