Global aerospace and defense supply chain solutions provider FDH Aero rebranded business units Blue Sky Industries and Société AHE Inc., acquired in 2018 and 2020 respectively, to operate as FDH Aero.
“Blue Sky and AHE are the first of our operating divisions to retire their original brand names as we listen to customers’ requirements and continue to evolve FDH Aero,” says company CEO Scott Tucker. “Our different business units are better together. We are focused on delivering the highest level of customer service in the industry and finding ways to help our supplier partners grow.”
Blue Sky has been a distribution arm for c-class parts to aerospace and defense manufacturing and maintenance/repair customers. AHE distributes aerospace hardware for the rotorcraft market.

Field Aerospace modifies Turkish KC-135s
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based Field Aerospace completed Turkish Air Force KC-135 Block 45 modification, under a contract through the KC-135 Foreign Military Sales program office. The program finished one year ahead of schedule.
Turkey is the second largest operator of KC-135 Stratotankers next to the U.S. Air Force. The Block 45 modification removes the legacy autopilot system, flight director system, engine analog gages, and radio altimeter and installs a dual autopilot and flight director system, new radio altimeter system, and new engine display. This effort included modifications to seven aircraft.

Delta taps Airbus Services for A350 cabin retrofit
Delta Air Lines selected Airbus Services to retrofit and upgrade nine Airbus A350 aircraft entering its fleet from another airline. The retrofit represents one of the largest and most comprehensive cabin upgrade programs ever launched in an airline’s A350 program.
The nose-to-tail cabin modification includes seats, lavatories, galleys, and overhead bins to meet Delta’s standards for passenger cabin experience, connectivity, avionics, and systems configuration. Airbus will provide all the Services Bulletins (including engineering drawings) and kits required for cabin and technical support throughout the upgrade. https://aircraft.airbus.com/services; https://news.delta.com
GE Aerospace obtains Cargolux engine support agreements
Luxembourg’s all-cargo airline Cargolux has agreed to multi-year GE TrueChoice support for the GE9X engines powering Cargolux’s new fleet of 10 Boeing 777-8 freighters. The agreement includes an order for two spare engines.
Richard Forson, Cargolux president and CEO, says, “GE’s newest engine, the GE9X, offers the latest technology which will help our airline enhance sustainability while increasing operational efficiency.”
The GE9X commercial aircraft engine offers the lowest NOx emissions in its class.
A GE Aerospace TrueChoice services extension was also agreed for Cargolux’s Boeing 747-8F fleet powered by GEnx-2B engines.
Cargolux was the launch customer for the GEnx-2B and became the first operator worldwide to fly one million hours with the engine.
