Dassault Aviation has developed and released the Falcon Maintenance Doc (FMD) iPad app for maintenance staff, providing untethered mobility and freedom to move around the aircraft. The app provides Falcon business jet maintainers with a user-friendly interface with a search tool, the ability to create bookmarks and notes, export documents to e-mail, and view several manual revisions at the same time.
Jacques Chauvet, senior vice president of worldwide customer service, says, “The FMD app is a new step to have less paper involved in execution of maintenance. It brings more flexibility and efficiency to our operators during maintenance, operation, and documentation process.”
Available through the Apple Store, iTunes is required to upload PDF collections (available on a Dassault-provided USB flash drive). It is free for Falcon customers with Falcon Interactive Electronic Library Documentation (FIELD) subscriptions. www.dassaultfalcon.com
