How long have you been in the aerospace business?

I started selling Cherry Rivets for a Texas company (Standard Parts and Equipment) in 1985, so 31 years.

How did you become interested in aircraft?

I’ve always been fascinated by all types of aircraft, which I’m sure I got from my dad. He loved everything about aviation and always wanted to be a pilot, but his eyesight wasn’t quite good enough. I fondly remember many hours of building models with him as a kid.

What is your favorite aircraft (and why)?

Really too many to list, but the Lockheed SR-71 stands out. Kelly Johnson’s 1950s design still “officially” holding speed records is really impressive.
