London, UK –  Element Materials Technology’s laboratory in Daleville, Indiana, has gained approval from Honda Aerospace to conduct testing on a range of its materials and components.

This latest approval, gained following an extensive audit of the laboratory’s technical capabilities, equipment, and quality of test results, means that Element Daleville, together with Element Cincinnati, are the only two laboratories currently included on the Honda Aerospace’s list of approved testing partners.

Element Daleville is approved by Honda for a comprehensive range of tests that include specimen preparation, mechanical property testing, metallography & micro-hardness testing, hardness testing, chemical testing and corrosion testing.

Rick Sluiters, Element’s aerospace executive vice president, said: “Receiving this approval is a fantastic achievement by the team. This accreditation adds to the laboratory’s extensive list of existing client approvals for the aerospace sector, including the highly demanding accreditation from Nadcap, and an impressive array of aerospace airframe OEM and aero engine approvals including Bombardier, Boeing, GE Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney, and Rolls-Royce.”

Element Daleville specializes in the analysis of chemical composition, mechanical and physical characteristics of exotic and standard metal alloys, forgings, castings, and components, as well as failure analysis, and special engineering projects, including test method development, fixture design and manufacturing, metallurgical field services, and life-cycle testing.
