Compact Optical Measuring System

Marposs Corp. introduces its Optoquick Set V25 Series compact size optical measuring system. The V25 Series Optoquick Set system, which provides a measuring range up to 94mm in diameter, offers a high level of flexibility for non-contact inspection of a wide range of parts using shadow casting optoelectronic measuring technology. The manually-loaded bench can be used for dynamic inter-operational and final inspection of parts with lengths up to 250mm, with maximum flywheel dimensions of 160mm and weight up to 10kg. In the system, parts are located between precision centers while the optoelectronic heads go through the programmed measurement cycle.

The new V25 Series Optoquick Set system was developed by Marposs to be economically priced while providing metrological performance equal to larger systems currently available. The Optoquick set V25 Series unit provides the capacity to measure diameters, roundness, taper, distance, widths, grooves, TIR, angle, chamfers, and intersecting points.

Overall dimensions of the compact unit, including the PC and control logic, are 750mm length, 650mm depth and 1,050mm height – very much reduced compared to existing larger systems. Measurements are displayed on a pendantmounted LCD screen.

The measuring system is designed for use on the shop floor. Sturdiness and reliability, combined with rapid measurement control plan changeover, make the Optoquick Set V25 system simple and fast to use in any shop environment, according to the company. Marposs' SPC and quality control software, Quick SPC, loaded into the system's industrial PC, provide a simple and intuitive way to manage measurement programming and overall capabilities.
