CAMWorks 2009 is a next generation best-of-class CNC programming solution for producing molded parts from solid models. Attendees can also learn about DFMPro, eDrawings Publishers and GeomCaliper. These productivity solutions can enhance design and improve manufacturing operations.
CAMWorks incorporates knowledgebased machining technology to automate the generation of toolpaths based on a user-defined database. Hours of complex programming can be eliminated with automatic feature recognition (AFR) that automatically defines machinable features. Programmers can set up the database to represent their standard processes for their typically recognizable features. CAMWorks recognizes these features and automatically generates an operation plan. The result of this technology is increased productivity and reduced job costs.
The strong integration between solid modeling and toolpath generation provides associativity between CAD and CAM functions. CAMWorks identifies and recalculates toolpaths based on changes to the part model.
CAMWorks modules for 2- to 5-axis milling, turning and wire EDM are available in a variety of bundles or combinations that provide an advanced collection of cutting strategies and timesaving features.
