Bushings for bullet-nose dowels

On-Size bushings are for fixtures used at temperatures up to 750°F (400°C), as in autoclave curing. The precision bushings are used with Bullet-Nose Dowels to align two pieces of a fixture. Made of Invar, a 36% nickel-iron alloy with a low coefficient of thermal expansion, On-Size bushings are for applications requiring minimum thermal expansion and high dimensional stability. Available with or without heads, bushings come in four sizes in inch or metric sizes.

Expandable vacuum chucks

Modular style vacuum slot chucks expand clamping surfaces to meet a variety of application requirements and are available in 200mm x 300mm, 300mm x 400mm, and 400mm x 600mm sizes. Equipped with connection elements that function as quick couplings, easy expansion allows the clamping surface or work area to be configured in two directions as needed.

One 200mm x 300mm chuck may be extended to 200mm x 600mm or 300mm x 400mm for more efficient surface use and higher production capability. The slot chucks are also for light milling and drilling, including engraving parts larger than 25mm x 25mm.

Primer, sealer for molding composites

Zyvax MPP 1006W water-based, semi-permanent mold primer seals and primes tooling substrates. Lower volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and less odor improve the health, safety, and environment of composite-molding operations. It can also resurface worn molds, extending tool life and reducing waste. Longer periods between top-coat touch-ups help eliminate part defects.

Zyvax Sealer 1050 semi-permanent mold sealer is applied in one-step: wipe on and let dry. The low-odor and hazardous air pollutants-free sealer conditions aerospace composites mold surfaces and tool substrates to help minimize resin buildup. A slow evaporation rate and cure time of less than 1 hour minimizes over-application, reducing material consumption.

Copy milling cutter

The M2471 copy milling cutter offers a high metal removal rate coupled with lower cutting material costs due to its eight cutting edges (four per side) per sintered insert. The 12mm positive-cutting-geometry, round inserts with negative basic shape feature Tiger·tec Silver coating for extended tool life. The cutter is available with modular ScrewFit interface or shell mill mount.

The cutter is suited for machining turbine blades, but also has applications in face milling steel, stainless steel, and difficult-to-cut materials. Its process reliability comes from the stability of its indexable inserts, bolstered by Torx Plus screws.

Inserts for the M2471 are available in grade WSP45S, and two geometries, D57 and F67.

Go/no-go gages

Designed and engineered to inspect parts for machining process variations such as form size, twist, and tool wear, these gages are used with rotary broaches. Held to tolerances within 0.0002" (0.005mm), the gages are produced from oil-hardened M2 high speed steel and can be custom made to shape or size.

Shapes include full-form composite, sector, or progressive forms. Both plug and ring gages are offered for checking internal or external forms. Gage certification is available.

Hexagon and six lobe (hexalobular) standard gages are available in both inch and metric dimensions. Custom plug and ring gages are also available.

Standard and custom inspection gages are available as Go/No-Go sets or they can be purchased individually.
