Lufthansa Technik selects Icertis CLM solution; Héroux-Devtek receives multi-year contract; Elliott Aviation acquires Four Points Aero; Italian Air Force extends tanker sustainment, training.

Virgin Atlantic has appointed British Int’l Industries (Bii.aero) to oversee the consignment and storage process of its surplus inventory of Boeing B747-400, Airbus A340-600, and A330-200 assets now that the airline no longer operates these aircraft. The material includes engines, auxiliary power units (APUs), and avionics. As a provider of aircraft parts and services for the commercial aviation sector, Bii.aero will store, manage, and market the parts.

Lufthansa Technik selects Icertis CLM solution

Lufthansa Group’s aircraft maintenance business, Lufthansa Technik AG, selected Icertis Contract Intelligence’s (ICI) enterprise-wide contract lifecycle management (CLM) solution. Lufthansa Technik plans to integrate the Icertis platform with its existing SAP CX solution to strengthen sales and improve compliance, risk management, and efficiency.

Using the artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities in ICI, Lufthansa Technik will digitize the contracting process, structure contract data, and connect the data for enterprise efficiencies and operational intelligence.

Héroux-Devtek receives multi-year contract

International manufacturer of aerospace products, Héroux-Devtek Inc., was awarded a long-term contract for the repair and overhaul of main landing gear and side braces for the F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers supporting the overhaul contract the U.S. Navy awarded to Boeing in 2021.

The first part of the contract, which covers 40 aircraft, is expected to be followed by options and aims the sustainment of the complete U.S. Navy fleet of more than 600 aircraft.

Elliott Aviation acquires Four Points Aero

Business aviation service company Elliott Aviation added its fifth maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) location with the acquisition of Four Points Aero on Love Field, Dallas, Texas.

The acquisition increases Elliott’s capacity and airframe service capabilities to further include Dassault Falcon 900B, 900EX, and 2000EX jets. Elliott Aviation is currently an authorized service center for airframes, including the Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP, Hawker, King Air, Premier, TBM, Embraer Legacy 450/500, and Phenom 100/300, and is a Part 145 repair station for Challenger 300/600 series, several Learjet models, and most models of Cessna Citation. The company services Gulfstream G550/G450/G-IV/G-III/G-200/G-150/G-200 and Falcon 2000/50/50EX at its Atlanta, Georgia facility.

The Love Field facility offers airframe, engine, avionics MRO, and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) services.

Elliott Aviation, owned by private investment firm Summit Park, is also the parent company of the manufacturing brand Prizm Aircraft Products.

Italian Air Force extends tanker sustainment, training

Italian Air Force KC-767A tankers.

Boeing and the Directorate for Air Armaments and Airworthiness (DAAA) will continue providing full performance-based logistics (PBL) support to the four Italian Air Force (ItAF) KC-767A tankers through December 2025.

Under the contract, Boeing will deliver line and heavy maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), supply chain, engineering support, publications revisions, and flight and maintenance training.

Boeing has provided integrated fleet support for the ItAF’s refueling tankers since 2011.
