Additive Manufacturing Materials
The metal materials available for additive manufacturing are increasing with the commercial introduction of EOS NickelAlloy HX. The heat- and corrosion-resistant nickel-chrome-iron-molybdenum alloy distinguishes itself through a high degree of strength and resistance to oxidization, even at temperatures up to 1,200°C. The material is optimized for processing in the EOSINT M 280 metal system, and is typically processed with a layer-thickness of 20µm.
The material is suited for deployment in applications that are exposed to high thermal forces giving rise to a significant risk of oxidization. Typical areas of deployment include aerospace, with combustion chambers and their component parts.
Nickel Alloy HX’s material properties also make it suited for repair work, as it is able to withstand the high temperatures to which the gas turbines are constantly exposed. For the repair, the complete burner is brought into the tailor-made EOS-Metal System.
Parts built from EOS NickelAlloy HX can be subsequently heat-treated in order to partially modify the characteristics of the material. Whether hardened or in their original built form, parts can be finished as required, and surplus unexposed material can be re-used.
Two plastic materials for industrial 3D printing are also being introduced. PrimePart ST (PEBA 2301), a soft, flexible, and elastic material, belongs to the group of thermoplastic elastomers and is available for EOSINT P 395 systems and will soon be extended to the EOS FORMIGA P 110 and EOSINT P 760 systems. PrimePart FR (PA 2241 FR) is a flame-retardant Polyamide 12 and is available now for both the current EOSINT P 395 and P 760 systems, as well as for the EOSINT P 390 and P 730.
Possessing an elongation at break of 200%, together with a good elastic restorative capacity and rebound elasticity, PrimePart ST was developed to support the production of flexible, rubber-like parts that return to their original shape, even after significant deformations. In the temperature range of -40°C to 90°C the material demonstrates good fatigue performance.

Coolant Filtration Options
The Master Series consists of a compact, highly efficient, and flexible line of head filters with TNT tissue. The three main product features are: Master – for flow-rates from 200L/min to 1,000L/min of neat oil and from 400L/min to 2,000L/min of emulsions; Medio Master – for flow-rates 200L/min to 400L/min of neat oil and 400L/min to 1,200L/min of emulsions; and Mini Master – for flow-rates ranging from 60L/min to 150L/min of neat oil and 100L/min to 300L/min of emulsions.
Compact in shape, the industrial coolant filtration system Medio-Master grants very high filtration levels. In the Medio Master coolant filters range, it is possible to change the filtration levels by selecting a different type of filter media. The filtration process is completely automatic. Medio Master is used for industrial cooling and lubricating liquids in machining operations such as drawing, milling, polishing, grinding, and washing. It is available in two models: the Medio 600 and Medio 800.
Medio options
- Pre-filtration with magnetic separator
- Oil mist filter
- Container for clean liquid
- Tank with pump for remote induction
- Pumps for the delivery of clean coolant with pressure 0.1 bar to 100 bar
- Systems for the control and stability of the fluid temperature
- Electric control and command devices

Value Master Vertical Machining Center
The new Value Master F650VM from Hyundai WIA is suitable for small- to medium-sized job shops, yet capable enough to handle high-production 24/7 environments.
In order to eliminate thermal growth during machining, all axes are driven by high precision double-nut ballscrews. The double pretension design provides outstanding positioning and repeatability with virtually no thermal growth. All ballscrews are connected directly to the servo drive motors without gears or belts, eliminating backlash. Rapid high speed axis movement is achieved by the use of linear motion guideways in all three axes. This reduces non-cutting time and decreases machining time for greater productivity. Rapid traverse: 1,418ipm (36m/min) in X- and Y-axis and 1,182ipm (30m/min) in Z-axis.
The standard Big Plus spindle system (BBT #40) provides dual contact between the spindle face and the flange face of the tool holder. This greatly increases tool rigidity, reduces runout, and adds significant productivity to any machining applications.
The F650 Value Master is configured with a 25hp, 10,000rpm spindle for taking deep cuts at high speeds. Ultra precision angular bearings provide high speed accel/decel for smooth machining at high rpms. The main spindle delivers minimal noise and vibration even at the highest cutting speeds, guaranteeing extremely stable machining and minimizing thermal transmission to the main spindle.
Value Master VMCs are outfitted with 30-tool, side mount swing-arm type tool changers. This technology offers optimal performance with impressive tool change times of 1.5 seconds, tool-to-tool. With a capacity of 30 tools (plus one in the spindle) setup time is reduced and run times can be longer, especially if loaded with redundant tools.
