Portable Fluid Recycling System
SumpDoc is a cost-effective, portable, inline fluid reclamation machine. It provides coolant restoration and rejuvenation treatment of metalworking fluids from the machine tool sump with minimal operator interface, no interruption in the production cycle or need to transport fluids.

The SumpDoc provides advantages from the elimination of downtime to savings from re-use of fluids. Differential pressure switch on the pleated bag element filter will signal when it is necessary to change out the disposable pleated bag filter. The length of operation on machine tool sumps will vary depending on the sump condition.

The portable SumpDoc easily wheels up next to a machine tool, parts washer, or rinse tank when using the full-service fluid reclamation simple three-step process.

Features:

  • 110V single phase control
  • Automatic OSD-2 Westphalia high speed centrifuge
  • Continuous-flow tramp oil coalescer
  • Pleated bag filter and housing for removing solids
  • Air operated diaphragm pump
  • Five-gallon on-board HDPE containers
  • Clearwater Technologies Microzone 300 ozone generator

Tie Bolt Inspection System

UniWest’s Tie Bolt Inspection System ensures that safety-critical aerospace components meet the necessary requirements. The Tie Bolt Inspection System uses an eddy current testing (ECT) US-1779, making it more reliable than some ultrasonic testing (UT) methods.

The Tie Bolt Inspection System includes UniWest’s US-454A eddy current instrument, the UniWest Tie Bolt scanner US-1779, and specialty probe US-1839 to perform eddy current inspection of the threaded area of the tie bolt and the underside of the bolt head.

The Tie Bolt Inspection System is equipped with a twin-roller flatbed, allowing quick inspection cycles for each bolt. Design of the eddy current probe is for the detection of flaws in steel and Inconel bolts without the need for additional probes.

Also featured with the system is a go/no-go alarm set that is not dependent on the operator. In additional testing, the UniWest eddy current probe has also detected smaller defects than the other methods of NDT for this application.

The US-1779 Tie Bolt Inspection System requires less space than magnetic particle and penetrant testing systems, enabling operators to perform inspections in the production line, where it best fits for productivity. A 2ft × 3ft area with AC power is all that is required to implement the system.

Design for Multiple Workpiece Surfaces
Falling within the Done-In-One concept, the Variaxis i-800 performs multiple and complex curved surface machining on large, heavy workpieces in a single setup. This reduces production lead times and improves machining accuracy while lowering operating expenses. The Variaxis i-800 can accommodate a wide range of applications, from heavy-duty cutting to high-speed cutting of aluminum and other non-ferrous materials.

The Variaxis i-800 has a Y-axis travel of 33.46" (850mm), an X-axis travel of 28.74" (730mm), and a Z-axis stroke of 22.05" (560mm), easily accommodating workpieces measuring up to 39.37" (1,000mm) in diameter and 19.69" (500mm) in height. Its roller gear cam-driven rotary/tilt table, with 360° of rotation in the C-axis and +30° through -120° of tilt in the A-axis supports both ends, providing stable, high-accuracy machining.

Features:

  • 10,000rpm, 40hp, 50-taper spindle standard
  • Matrix 2 CNC control
  • 1,654ipm (42m/min) rapid traverse rates of the X-, Y-, and Z-axes
  • Optional 18,000rpm spindle
  • Tool magazine capacities ranging from 30 tools to 120 tools
  • Roller gear cam-driven rotary/tilt table
