Angle heads
The TH line angle head casting made from GS 600 stabilized spheroidal cast iron alloy provides increased thermal stability and rigidity compared to steel and aluminum. The angle heads can be run with or without coolant, and changes to installation are not required. The offset design of the TH series heads enables customers to use extended-length tools.
Manufacturing it from one solid piece of hardened steel increases resistance to bending stress by 25%, so tools can reach higher rpm without vibrations.
FYI
The mechanical seals and gears for the TH line angle heads are researched and developed at the Alberti Engineering and Technology Center.

Optical shaft measuring devices
The Hommel-Etamic Opticline series offers production-floor evaluation of shaft-like parts with enhanced performance and functionality.
Optical measurement of workpiece profiles, diameters, and spacing; angle or radii; threads; rotation angles; form and geometric tolerances; or outer contours of high-precision workpieces can be determined within a compact floor space. For checking length and angular measurements, an optional touch probe is available.
The optical system is hermetically sealed, preventing dust or oil mist from interfering with measurements. Optimized active self-monitoring mechanisms and temperature compensation improve the device’s long-term stability.

Bar feeder
The GT 326-E automatic magazine bar feeder for sliding headstock machines from LNS loads 12ft long bar stock with diameters from 3mm to 20mm (26mm bar prep).
A two-position, automatic, hydrostatic front stabilizer with V-shaped guiding elements dampen residual vibration between the front of the bar feeder and the back of the spindle. A high-speed headstock synchronization system directly connected to the servo drive eliminates transmission delay for perfect synchronization between the pusher and headstock.
Features
- 10.6" deep magazine tray
- One-minute set up
- Automatic adjustment of pushing torque
- Forward speed and feeding length by entering shape, diameter, and feed out length into the HMI

Milling grade inserts
Seco added new variations to its MS2050 milling grade inserts for optimized titanium machining. The additions span a wider scope of sizes, radii, and geometries with special coating technology. The silver-colored PVD uni-coating gives the MS2050 inserts added heat resistance capabilities and eliminates the occurrence of built-up edge when cutting sticky materials. As a result, the inserts last approximately 50% longer and run at higher cutting data when compared with existing inserts.

Measurement probe
The SFP1 probe for the REVO 5-axis measurement system option allows surface finish inspection to be fully integrated within coordinate measurement routines. The probe makes the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) a single platform metrology system, eliminating the need for hand-held surface measurement devices or transporting parts to a dedicated surface measuring machine.
The system allows automated switching between dimensional measurement and surface finish measurement, with the analysis contained in a single report.
This enables flexible access to component features, combined with the consistency of fully automated CNC control. Using the straight stylus, the SFP1 can perform a measurement trace within a 10mm diameter bore to a depth of 100mm.
A skidded probe with a 2µm (0.000079") radius diamond stylus tip, the SFP1 probe outputs Ra, RMS, and raw data formats to the metrology application software via Renishaw’s UCCServer software, using the I++ DME protocol. The raw data can subsequently be presented to specialized surface analysis software for more detailed reporting.
Features
- 0.05Ra to 6.3Ra measurement capability
- Two dedicated styli, straight and cranked
- Automatic C-axis orientation to any angle
- Automated surface finish probe calibration

Ultrasonic cleaner
Ultra 3200FA, an ultrasonic cleaner with 55-gallon main tank capacity and horizontal transducers for cleaning action without solvents, features an agitation table, dual filtration, 10-gallon weir tank, sparge bar, and an insulated tank and lid. The V-bottom design allows for easy cleaning between batches. Side mounted transducers eliminate dead spots so the cleaning action is consistent from top to bottom. With 5,040W of ultrasonic power, dual 2,000W heaters, and basket capacity of 27" x 18.5" x 5", the Ultra 3200FA has the power to quickly clean rubber and plastic parts, bearings, bolts, transmission components, engine parts prior to assembly, and plastic injection molds.
The 3200FA operates from 220V power and draws 30A. Machine dimensions of 52" x 39" x 33" allow it to fit into existing shop space with a minimal footprint. Digital touch controls allow operation with automatic ultrasonic, agitation and filtration cycles. A 7-day heat and auxiliary timer allows programming to suit production requirements. Agitation table capacity of 300 lb is sufficient for large parts or multiple batches of smaller components. An optional dual-basket configuration is available – allowing smaller baskets (18.5" x 13.25" x 5") to be processed simultaneously side-by-side, suitable for larger batches of small components or to clean small and large parts together. With a working depth of 14", the Ultra 3200FA includes a 55-gallon main tank and a 10-gallon weir tank.

5-axis vise
The OML Genius 5-axis vise features a design that maximizes clamping force at the top of the jaws by pulling them closed with a collapsing lead screw while holding the bottom of the jaws in place with an opposing force screw.
By holding the vise jaws apart at the bottom and pulling closed at the top, the Genius vise actually pulls the workpiece down against the stops as closing force increases.
The Genius vise is designed for precision 5-axis milling with trunion-table machines. The adaptable vise easily secures oddly-shaped workpieces, such as turbine blades and blisks, and presents them to the spindle with minimal obstruction, reducing setups and ensuring repeatability of 0.0008".
Intended for production machining, the vise is built with precision, hardened, and ground steel components. The jaws are guided on two heavy steel shafts, allowing quick, accurate centering on a pallet or machine table. A telescoping stainless steel cover fully encloses the collapsing lead screw to protect it from chips and coolant.
