High-Performance Coolants

Cyclo Cool 900 and 5000 series synthetic coolants are additive free, low foaming, and specially formulated for machining titanium, Inconel, beryllium copper, hardened steels, stainless steels, and other superalloys. Developed for the aerospace industry, the coolants are an ideal replacement for semi-synthetics and soluble oils, delivering significant cost savings with lower initial cost, longer tool life, increased stock removal rates, reduced housekeeping, long sump life, and freedom from biocides/fungicides/pH adjusters. Synthetic formulations of Cyclo Cool provides boundary lubricant properties while penetrating the heat barrier in the cutting zone, even at lower pressures (300psi to 400psi), absorbing heat from the tool and part, and minimizing chemical reactions between tools and workpieces. Both coolants are clear in use, permitting excellent visibility in the cutting zone.

Hydraulic Expansion Toolholders

Use of Tendo E universal hydraulic toolholders means users no longer require the use of different holder technologies for milling, drilling, and reaming. The hydraulic expansion toolholders safely transfer torques of up to 520Nm (384ft/lb) at a 20mm clamping diameter, and are perfectly suited for high volume cutting. With excellent vibration damping and precise runout accuracy of less than 0.003mm (0.0001") at 2.5 x D, the Tendo E compact protects the machine spindle and the cutting tool from damage. The hydraulic expansion toolholder works well across applications ranging from rough milling to finish operations – such as reaming and fine milling.

In roughing operations, achieving tool cost reductions of up to 40% through use of the Tendo E compact is possible. Tools changes are quick with an allen key, making this hydraulic expansion toolholder an alternative solution for operations where the toolholder quantities do not justify peripheral equipment purchases.
