Multiple-frequency handheld shaker

ReferenceMate is an advanced portable vibration reference source (handheld shaker) with multiple frequency outputs that eliminate manual conversions between imperial, metric, or calibration-sheet values with self-diagnostic features to ensure data integrity.

The device delivers a known vibration level, allowing users in the field to verify sensor performance and the integrity of the cabling and connectors between the sensor and the data acquisition system.

Features that show reference vibration is accurate and the unit is functioning properly include LED indicators that illuminate if battery levels are low or if the unit is overloaded. Internal test points, accessed via the battery cavity, verify the calibration of the internal reference accelerometer, which maintains a 1 G-Force test level for sensors weighing up to 250g.

Kitted systems include common mounting accessories for a variety of applications. Battery life of up to 40 continuous hours allows extensive tests. The shaker can also be DC powered.

Frequency and measurement type (peak or RMS) can be selected in accordance with user requirements.

  • 61.4Hz for imperial measurements: 1 G-Force (acceleration) equivalent to 1ips (velocity)
  • 100Hz to simulate standard calibration conditions
  • 159.2Hz for metric measurements: 9.81m/sec2 (acceleration) equivalent to 9.81mm/sec (velocity)

Switches for high-current loads

Designed to monitor large loads, ASXP-LS current switches offer a current transformer and a signal conditioner. The switches feature electromechanical relay output, external power source, simple field setpoint adjustment, and easy installation. The mechanical relay contact provides an alarm or interlock, improving safety and overall system reliability, while the selectable fail-safe operation provides protection for critical loads.

These switches can monitor large machines for over- or under-load conditions, detect open discharge lines, and sense clogged filters. They can also monitor generators to shed non-critical loads when demand reaches a set level.

Key features

  • Split-core housing: Allows sensor to be installed over existing conductors
  • Easy installation: Snap DIN rail or attach to back panel through sensor base
  • Large sensing aperture: 2.3" x 3.42" window accommodates conductors and multiple wires per phase
  • Electromechanical relay output: Use with AC or DC control circuits and for no-volt inputs
  • Load start delay: Adjustable delay allows large motors to start against high-inertia loads without tripping
  • Wide range: Four models available with trip points from 200A to 1,600A
  • Accepted worldwide: Designed to meet UL, CUL, and CE requirements

Online microwave/RF assembly calculator

The online Microwave/RF assembly calculator is used to calculate insertion loss, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), and other parameters of microwave/RF assemblies for different cable types. The calculator is particularly useful when the initial cable type is unknown and needs to be specified independent of the connector.

The main calculator section enables the user to select a market and category from the dropdowns to view cable types and their specs. The user then enters data for frequency, length, temperature, and altitude to narrow the results in the main cable types table. The multiple cable review tool allows the user to select up to three cables to be compared on a single, detailed results screen.

A conversions page has most of the everyday conversions, including distance, frequency, power, temperature, VSWR/return loss, and weight. A glossary features explanations for many of the terms used in the online calculator.

The online calculator works on PCs, tablets, and smartphones.
