Deep Hole Drilling
Gundrill technology is moving one step further with the development of the Chamgun for deep hole drilling; this gundrill enables the replacement of drilling heads while the driver is still connected to the machine. The no setup time concept enables quick head changes without the need to remove the drill from the spindle while indexing.
Each drill body can carry standard drilling heads within a range of 0.2mm to 0.3mm. The Chamgun drill range is 9.8mm to 16.19mm with drilling heads available in half and whole sizes as standard items.
Additional features:
- Carbide grades – coated and uncoated
- Profiles – standard pad profiles
- Drilling precision of IT7 to IT9 tolerance can be achieved
- Re-boring is often unnecessary
- Possible to regrind and recoat the drilling head up to 10 times, still obtaining good repeatability

Gear Hobbing Machines
The Genesis series now includes the 260H and 400H vertical gear hobbing machines for the production of spur and helical gears up to 260mm in diameter, and 400mm in diameter, respectively, and up to 700mm of axial travel to accommodate extra-long shafts.
The machines are particularly well-suited for the demands of today’s dry machining environment, featuring an exceptionally clean and uncluttered work chamber and a single-piece mineral cast polymer composite base/frame with superior damping and thermal stability.

Combination Abrasive Nylon Disc Brushes
Abrasive disc brushes contain a combination of ceramic and silicon carbide filament producing maximum burr removal rates while providing an ideal surface finish at the same time. The abrasive filaments work as flexible files, conforming to part contours, wiping and filing across part edges and surfaces, and providing consistent deburring action throughout the length of bristles.
Both brush styles are available in three different diameters – 100mm, 125mm, and 150mm – to suite a wide range of parts and finishing machinery. The brushes are available in 18mm or 38mm trim lengths, providing the perfect combination of flexibility and aggressiveness.

S-pads Span the Range
The style-S master collet, although originally designed for multi-spindle automatic screw machines, offers many benefits to the CNC lathe and vertical machining center operator as well. Chaning of the collet pads is much quicker than a standard collet, the cost is lower, and the pads require much less storage space. Standard S-pads from Hardinge are hardened and ground for a long life. Hardinge, the inventor of the S-pad concept, has a dedicated S-pad manufacturing cell enabling them to maintain stock availability on more than 1,000 sizes of S-pads, in a variety of styles.
