Surface Roughness Measuring Option
An option package is available for the MahrForm MMQ 200 Formtester, which provides the measurement of surface finish parameters according to accepted ISO, ASME, and JIS standards. With the combined hardware/software MMQ 200 Surface Finish option, operators will benefit from reduced setup and measurement cycle times, and reduced cost, by needing only a single piece of equipment for both form and surface measurements.
Unlike many form measurement machines that are designed to measure longer wavelengths and allow 5μm to 10μm between data points, the controller for the MMQ 200 was designed with roughness measurements in mind – as data points can be as close as 0.5μm.
Optimized for the measure of cylindricity through rotational table axis and vertical axis integration, the MMQ 200 can also perform a full range of ISO and/or ASME form checks, including: roundness, straightness, flatness (from a polar trace), parallelism, concentricity, coaxiality, runout, total runout, taper, perpendicularity, angularity, and angle sector (roundness, flatness, runout).

Digital Microscope
The ShuttlePix P-400R digital microscope is made for inspection, observation, simple measurement, and recording of high-resolution images. For on-site analysis of samples, it serves as a handheld microscope that shoots high-resolution images as quickly and easily as taking pictures with a digital camera. For stationary use, the ShuttlePix microscope interfaces seamlessly with a motorized stand. With the equipped 17" touchscreen monitor, the user can easily control, display, measure, or print images. The microscope also connects to a standard PC or laptop running dedicated 3D image reconstruction software.
Operation of the stand is simple, allowing extended depth of focus (EDF) image capture with the touch of a button. ShuttlePix offers a 20x zoom with a magnification range of 20x to 400x on a 17" monitor, which is double most other models. For optimal lighting, the zoom head has built-in four-section LED ring illumination.

Endmills Deliver Expanded Tool Life
The TiNox-Cut, a series of endmills specifically developed to provide exceptional tool life when machining challenging materials, offer a dependable cutting solution for nickel alloys like Inconel and Stellite, all grades of titanium, and tough stainless steels like Super Duplex. TiNox-Cut endmills feature a high heat-resistant, lubricious coating and provide long tool life by minimizing friction and efficiently evacuating chips, which is especially important in tough, long-chipping materials. The TiNox-Cut endmills are well suited for both roughing and finishing operations. The tools consist of three designs: two 4-flute variations for both roughing and finishing, and a 5-flute extra long finishing tool. TiNox-Cut roughing/finishing endmills are available with flat ends or with a selection of corner radii. For even more efficient chip evacuation, TiNox 4-flute endmills are available with internal coolant/lubricant capability. The roughing/finishing versions are available with a serrated profile for effective chip breaking during roughing operations. Emuge TiNox-Cut endmills range in diameter from 6mm to 20mm, depending on the design.
