Meeting Current Workholding Needs
The HD and HDL series vises and towers replace the Kurt DL430 DoubleLock and CT430 ClusterTowers. The patented designs provide more options for faster setups, larger workholding capacity, greater flexibility, and precision to handle the broadest range of part configurations.
Kurt HD and HDL vises and ClusterTowers have a new quick-change jaw feature and fewer components for faster job changeovers. With a half-turn of a hex key, the stationary jaw on these vises and towers lifts off the vise or tower body. The jaw resets and self-aligns quickly without special tools. Spring preload design insures fast and easy loading of parts.
Providing 0.0002" repeatable clamping accuracy, the HD towers feature a self-adjusting holding block for clamping the same or dissimilar sized parts. To further enhance fast operation, an adjustable pre-load feature reduces handle turns for opening and closing clamping stations on the manual models. Both vises and ClusterTowers are available in manual and hydraulic models. The towers are available with four, eight, or 12 stations and with a complete selection of jaw options.
These HDL two-station vises are extremely rigid, delivering up to 6,316 lb of clamping force at 70 lb of torque. They are designed on an 80,000psi ductile iron body with precision machined steel components. The manual model easily converts to hydraulic operation using a simple conversion kit.

Twin Wheel Blast Machine
The GWB-702T is a rotary table wheel-blast system featuring one blast wheel over each half of a 4,000 lb capacity, 70" diameter turntable, making this configuration suitable for batch processing of workpieces that are essentially flat or have limited vertical surfaces.
Each blast wheel is directly driven at a speed of 3,000rpm by a 10hp motor, and is capable of throwing approximately 220 lb of metallic media per minute in an extended blast pattern up to 36" long. The blast pattern of the individual blast wheels is adjustable, allowing the twin wheels to provide rapid and thorough coverage of components on the entire surface of the turntable. The table of the wheel blast machine is heavily armored with abrasion-resistant cast iron alloy plates, and protective armor of the same material is hung on the interior ceiling and walls of the blast chamber to cover all areas directly in line with the blast wheels. The entire inside of the blasting enclosure is lined with thick rubber sheeting for abrasion protection, which offers the side-benefit of reduced sound levels during operation of the blast machine.
GWB-702T wheelblast machines come standard-equipped with an enhanced shot reclamation system that includes a tunable cascade airwash separator.
To maintain negative pressure in the blast machine and balance the air flow through the media reclamation system, the wheel blast machine is supplied with a freestanding Guyson Model D2000 cartridge-type dust collector that has an extraction capacity of 2,000ft3 of air per minute. The efficiency of the D2000's filter cartridges is maintained by automatic reverse pulsing.

High-Performance Coolant Series
Cyclo Cool 900 and 5000 series synthetic coolants are additive free, low foaming and specially formulated for machining titanium, Inconel, beryllium copper, hardened steels, stainless steels, and other superalloys. Developed for the aerospace industry, the new coolants are an ideal replacement for semi-synthetics and soluble oils, delivering significant cost savings with lower initial cost, longer tool life, increased stock removal rates, reduced housekeeping, long sump life, and freedom from biocides/fungicides/pH adjusters. These coolants use unique synthetic formulations to provide boundary lubricant properties, while penetrating the heat barrier in the cutting zone, even at lower pressures (300psi to 400psi), to absorb heat from the tool and part, and minimize chemical reactions between tools and workpieces. Both coolants are clear in use, permitting excellent visibility in the cutting zone.
Low-foaming Cyclo Cool 900 series coolants are intended for use in high-pressure, through-tool delivery systems at up to 2,000psi, as well as flood coolant for chip flushing. The lubrication package in the Cyclo Cool 900 series varies to cover a range of applications from lighter duty high speed (10,000rpm to 15,000rpm) milling to heavy duty drilling and tapping. Three formulations are available to match the severity of the application, utilizing concentrations in the 5% to 7% range. 900 series coolants reject 99% of tramp oil, allowing easy removal and reducing mist levels.
Cyclo Cool 5000 is an anionic synthetic cutting fluid developed for severe to extreme metalworking applications at delivery pressures of 300psi to 400psi or intermittent high pressure. It utilizes a hybrid blend of patented lubricants that allows it to exceed the performance of high-oil containing semi-synthetics, chlorinated soluble oils and other heavy-duty synthetics.
