Custom Direct Drive Motor Systems
With OEM's having routinely designed Applimotion ULT, UTH, UTS, and UTO frameless motor kits into direct drive systems, the company now offers design-engineering services to incorporate its popular frameless motor kits into application specific direct drive motors. These custom direct drive motor systems come equipped with precision encoders and bearings in unique packages. Applimotion can create a custom solution, whether it has special mechanical requirements, requires high accuracy for precision positioning, or must withstand a harsh environment. First, selection of an Applimotion motor kit, based on performance needs, is required. Then, Applimotion engineers guide the customer through the selection of feedback and precision mechanical attributes. The final step is fabrication and delivery of a complete custom direct drive motor solution, including unique testing, if required.

Freestanding OR Bench-Mounted

The SR200 Surface Roughness Tester is a powerful, full featured instrument usable as either freestanding (on horizontal, vertical, or even inverted surfaces) or bench-mounted, with fixturing for batch measurement and laboratory applications. It is battery powered for portability, with an AC adapter available.

Fast and flexible, the SR200 can calculate 10 parameters, covering a comprehensive range of roughness testing requirements. Its electronics provide fast analysis, with results calculated and displayed even before the traverse unit returns. This rapid processing, combined with intuitive menu buttons, ensures measurement cycle productivity. The SR200 has a uniquely engineered stylus lift mechanism, allowing a vertical adjustment of 2"/50mm and rotation of the pickup to different measuring positions, including right angle or inverted measurements. These adjustments to the height and position of the gage allow easy measurement of areas and features of a part without additional complex fixturing. This feature saves the operator a great amount of setup time while allowing total flexibility. Typical applications where the stylus lift is invaluable include the measurement of steps, bores, grooves, and lands.
