Submersible 2-axis A/B Tilting and Indexing Table
Hirschmann Engineering USA Inc. now has available a stainless steel, submersible, 2-axis tilting and dividing table used in the manufacture of complex workpieces in wire, vertical, and small hole EDM applications.

The A/B-axis is equipped with a 100mm diameter faceplate with mounting holes for fixtures and Hirschmann manual clampers, or as an option, integrated air connections for pneumatic clampers. The A/B axes is programmed and driven by the Hirschmann controller H1625.AC2, which allows automatic sequencing by M-code (24V) to the machine tool control. The NC program is generated via the keyboard or by downloading from a PC or machine control by using an RS232-interface.

Features of the H100ABR.NC, as well as dimensional drawings (CAD) that include the two-axis controller H1625.2AC are available upon request from Hirschmann or by using a direct link on their website.

Large 5-axis Machining Center
New features and specifications for Mitsui Seiki’s 5-axis horizontal machining centers include up to 2,500mm (98.4") work diameter capacity, 3 tons (6,600 lb) work/fixture weight capacity, variety of increased axis stroke options, larger pallet sizes than previous models (1,200mm square, 1,200mm x 1,500mm, 1,900mm diameter), ultra high torque spindles (2,700Nm – 1,990ft/lb continuous), tuned structure for heavy cutting in hard metals, large capacity FMS systems, and latest Fanuc 30i CNC with enhanced features for 5-axis machining.

Track Assembly System
Recently launched is the newest version of the robot track assembly. It is ideal for robotic welding, medium duty pick-and-place applications, painting, and other related activities. With a sleek, low-profile system that is easy to step across (14" tall along the track), the robot track features 35mm linear rail and module two helical rack that is capable of supporting multiple trolleys up to 2m in length and equipment weighing up to 10,000 lb. The frame itself is a stress-relieved, precision-machined weldment with standard features including a hypoid beveled gear gearbox, automatic lubrication, over travel limits, hard stops, and leveling feet that are easily anchored to the floor.

Heavy Duty CNC Milling and Tapping Center
The Tongtai QVM-610A x 2000-5000 CNC milling and tapping center is designed specifically for aerospace airframe component production. The machine is designed to machine either long narrow workpieces or to have the work table sectioned into a variety of safe work zones for multiple setups.

It features a Meehanite cast iron frame and linear slideways for fast, precise movement. Most importantly is the X axis travel capability of up to 196". Due to this long X axis travel, a 63mm (2.5") diameter ballscrew is used on X along with 40mm (1.57") diameter ballscrews on the Y and Z axes.

A standard 24 station high speed arm type ATC provides fast, reliable tool changes. The 8,000rpm spindle provides rigid tap speeds up to 4,000rpm.

Two-Zone Conveyor Oven
The Two-Zone conveyor oven has workspace dimensions of 42" x 24ft x 15". The workloads travel atop a 36" wide, 1" x 1" high carbon steel flat wire conveyor belt with ¼hp motor drive, variable from 0.8"/minute to 15"/minute, through an 18" long open loading zone; a 36" long insulated heat zone with 2hp, 2,000cfm recirculated airflow; a 16" long insulated, unheated vestibule; a 16ft long insulated heat zone with 10hp, 12,500cfm recirculated airflow; a 12" long open zone; a 36" long cooling zone; and finally an 18" long open unloading zone. Key Locking Studs for Aerospace
A new line of Acme Key Locking Studs are now available. These key locked fasteners (also known as staked studs), have a solid one-piece design to provide high pull-out strength and torque-out capabilities. They are used in original equipment, or to repair damaged threads. The studs keys are driven down into the threads of the surrounding base material to securely lock them into place and to provide a mechanical lock against vibration.

Acme Key Locking Studs are produced to NAS and SAE Standards (MS51833 and MS51834). They are available in a full range of inch and metric sizes, in both lightweight and heavy duty versions. The studs are available in a variety of materials, including 303, A286, 17-4PH CRES, and 4140 Alloy Steel.

Hand Held 3D Scanner
The Artec MHT 3D Scanner from Exact Metrology is capable of capturing surface color and texture information in addition to the 3D geometry of the scanned object.

The Artec MHT 3D Scanner captures a spectrum of colors (up to 24bpp) – capturing both color information of the object’s shape, and its geometry results in fine textured models. Results can then be opened and post-processed by a number of 3D software packages. Complete MHT systems including hardware, software, and training start are available.

As with other Artec 3D Scanners, the MHT requires no mounts or markers. It works just like a regular video camera, but instead of a 2D image, the result is a 3D image captured at speeds of up to 15 surfaces per second. The scanning process is extremely straightforward: simply walk around the object and scan it from various angles, while the accompanying software combines all the scanned images into one.

Long, Light-weight Industrial Videoscopes
A new 10m long scope for the lightweight IPLEX LX and IPLEX LT industrial videoscopes is now available. With an effective length of 10m (32.8ft) and a diameter of 8.5mm, the new scopes are ideally suited for applications that require visual testing of deep or difficult-to-reach areas. The ruggedness of the scopes and optimal longitudinal stiffness allow them to be easily pushed deep into objects. A wide range of interchangeable optical adaptors provides excellent magnification and direction while the LED lights at the scope tips deliver vivid illumination for easy detection of very small defects.

Including the Lithium-ion battery and the long scope they weigh just 3.9kg (9.0 lb). The LCD monitor uses a large 6.5" screen with low ambient reflection, permitting accurate inspection even outdoors in direct sunlight.

Three-in-one Chip Removal System
The ConSep Flex universal chip conveyor/separator, is a system that can efficiently handle a full range of materials and chip types while also cleaning coolant at the machine tool.

Based on Mayfran’s proven ConSep chip removal conveyor and coolant filtration technology, the ConSep Flex combines the features of a hinged steel belt conveyor designed for optimal removal of most chips and turnings, with a scraper/drag conveyor for removing finer chips. The addition of magnetic bed technology captures ferrous fines such as machined cast iron which are removed by the scraper.

The coolant filtration unit is highly flexible and can be specified to treat either light oil or water-soluble coolant with equal effectiveness. It is equipped with a permanent media self-cleaning drum filter when combined with the permanent magnetic bed, cleans coolant to 50µm, while removing up to 95% of ferrous fine particles by weight, extending both tooling and coolant life.

Advanced Digital Force Gauge
Mark-10's  Series 5 digital force gages, designed for tension and compression force testing in quality control, manufacturing, and R&D areas.
