How long have you been in the current industry?
I have been in the photonics industry for 35 years. In addition to industrial customers, we supply photonic components to aerospace companies, both civil and defense.

How did you become interested in aircraft?
I first became interested in aircraft many years ago when I received my first model kit as a gift. My interest and knowledge has grown a lot since then, but I still enjoy making model airplanes!

What is your favorite aircraft?
I am a big fan of the Fairey Gannet anti-submarine aircraft that was produced in the 1950s.

ATTENTION PAST WINNERS!
Where do you display your airplane? Send us a picture of you and the model airplane you won for having the correct answer to the Name that Plane contest and you may be featured in a future issue. E-mail your high resolution photo to: Matthew Grasson at mgrasson@gie.net.

*Contestants may not win the first place prize more than once throughout the duration of the contest, and may only win consolation prizes once per calendar year. Due to the unpredictable nature of postal delivery, prizes will be determined by random drawing from all correct answers received, after a three week waiting period from the issue’s mailing date. The first drawing will name the 1st place winner, followed by four consecutive drawings for consolation prizes. Please send comments or feedback regarding the contest to Matt Grasson,
mgrasson@gie.net
