Seven technology partners have joined Materialise in the CO-AM platform, supporting design and pre-printing automation, traceability, printing, and post-processing for 3D printed parts. Materialise Magics was integrated into CO-AM, offering a new workflow automation feature.

The Materialise CO-AM platform offers a space for innovation and co- development to the additive manufacturing (AM) industry and manufacturing companies. It presents an open software architecture that provides manufacturing companies direct access to multiple hardware technologies and their preferred tools from Materialise and other software developers. The CO-AM community can co-develop end-to-end manufacturing solutions, creating competitive advantages for individual companies and empowering entire industries.

Customers in major manufacturing industries will have access to the latest AM innovations via the platform and can integrate and connect them seamlessly.

Manufacturing companies turn to AM to mass produce identical or customized products while achieving repeatable quality standards and minimizing manual intervention.

With the addition of the new partners, Materialise can connect and automate all steps of the AM process – design, labeling, machine monitoring, and post-processing. The CO-AM platform gives users the flexibility to build a process tailored to their business. A growing number of tools to support each step in the AM workflow enables them to choose their preferred solution.

Materialise extended integration of Magics 26 into CO-AM, enhancing traceability and allowing users to monitor and improve AM processes throughout the workflow – from data preparation through design iterations to the final printed part.

Magics’ workflow automation feature offers off-the-shelf scripts to automate common build preparation workflows and enables customers to use customizable scripts to automate build preparation tasks unique to their AM operations.
