Aircraft Interiors Expo, the largest dedicated aircraft interiors event in the world, takes place from April 1-3, 2008 at the Hamburg Messe in Germany. All sectors of the interiors industry will be featured, including seating, lighting, soft furnishings, windows, inflight entertainment, safety and security, fastening technology, power supply, and galley products. Major companies such as B/E Aerospace, Airbus KID Systeme GmbH, and Hanse Aerospace will be presenting their latest technologies.
This highly popular event attracts visitors from long-haul and regional airlines, as well as business-class and other specialist operators. The VIP and business jet sector is also taking an increasing interest in the show.
One of the highlights of Aircraft Interiors Expo will be the Crystal Cabin award for excellence in aircraft interior innovation. Entries for the 2008 award have been received from companies representing 10 different nations. The status of the scheme is evidenced by the fact that major players such as Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Continental Airlines, Lufthansa, and Air France have all agreed to join the judging panel.
