The VC500i 5-axis cantilever machining center includes a 12,000rpm spindle with a CAT40 spindle taper. The VC Series allows machinists to use standard-length tooling due to the B-axis configuration’s undercutting ability with 110° positive and negative directions.

The B-axis trunnion-style configuration allows for shorter tools to be used when cutting smaller parts. Since a B-axis trunnion tilts around the Y-axis, the tool is always approaching the part from a safe direction with less possibility for interference.

The VC500i is equipped with the Hurco CNC control powered by WinMax software, and the UltiMotion system supports conversational programming, NC programming, and proprietary NC/Conversational Merge that further optimizes efficiency. The control offers 4GB RAM, 128GB solid state drive, and 10,000 block look-ahead.

Zero-point vise system

The PLUS5 V5 Zero Point Vise system ensures uniformity while performing precision, all-directional clamping. The zero-point vise interfaces with all industry-standard products using 52mm or 96mm pin spacing, allowing it to become part of an existing workholding system.

The V5 vise system is self-centering for 5-axis machines, has fully protected and sealed lead screws, and incorporates SinterGrip inserts for multi-vise integrations, eliminating dove tailing or crimping operations.

The eccentric pin-locking mechanism cam locks all 4 pins simultaneously, binding the pins uniformly in all directions.
