Wire EDMs
Five wire EDM models will be on display at IMTS, including the AP250L, VZ300L, AG400L, AG600LH, and the AQ750LH. Three sinker EDM models will also be on display, including the AD25L, AG60L, and AG80L, as well as two high-speed vertical mills, the HS650L and TT1-400A. The AP250L is a fine wire EDM that creates small intricate precision parts requiring a micro-wire diameter. The AG400L is suitable for small- to medium-sized parts and molds that require close tolerances and fine surface finishes.

Wire, Die-Sinking EDM
The CUT 2000 AWC with automatic wire changer allows op erators to switch between different wire diameter sizes and types, optimizing both roughing and finishing operations. The CUT 2000 AWC uses a universal wire guide system, enabling it to accommodate wires from 0.010" down to 0.002" for micro-machining and precision applications.
Also on display will be the DRILL 300 machines holes in various diameters and workpiece materials, employing electrodes ranging from 0.012" to 0.12" in diameter. It is capable of machining tough materials, including Inconel, titanium, steel, and carbide. The machine has a Z-axis travel of 17.72" and a ±45° tilting head to drill angled holes.

Bonded Graphite
The Elec2rode bonded graphite product minimizes material use and eliminates milling of blanks for workholding. An economical grade of graphite used for the electrode holding area (the backer) is bonded with a higher density material, which contacts the workpiece (the electrode) during the EDM process. The strong bond is achieved using a high-temperature adhesive process which is suitable for copper impregnated graphite materials. They are efficient for use with existing graphite holders, or the company’s line of graphite holding products.
